OBITUARY
     Mrs. Elizabeth G. SILLS, age 69, died at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 
8, 1987 at her Hardinsburg residence, after a short illness.  She was born 
in Georgetown, Ky (Scott County) on December 17, 1917, a daughter of the 
late Rufus and Mary Alice GODDARD GAINES.  Mrs. SILLS was retired from the 
Medley Distilling Company of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County), and a member of 
the St. Romuald Catholic Church. Hardinsburg.  Her husband, J. C. SILLS, 
Jr., preceded her in death in 1960.  Survivors include:
two daughters:
Mrs. Brenda S. KELLEY of Owensboro, Ky
Mrs. Patricia S. PERRELL of Birmingham, Alabama (Jefferson County)
one son:
Dr. James G. SILLS of Hardinsburg, Ky
one sister:
Eliza Lee WILLIAMS of Nicholasville, Ky (Jessamine County)
11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 1987 at 
the St. Romuald Catholic Church, with the Pastor, the Reverend Pat Reynolds, 
officiating.  Burial was in the St. Romuald Cemetery with the Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.
