OBITUARY
MRS. GEORGE SIMMONS
     Mrs. George SIMMONS died at her home two miles from Hardinsburg on 
Saturday, June 12, 1926.  She was before her marriage Miss Daisy MEADOR, 
daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas MEADOR.  She was born February 25, 
1884.  When a young woman, she was married to George SIMMONS, who with 
eleven children survive.  They are:
Hubert SIMMONS of California
Mrs. Ammon DRISKELL of California
Ray SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Herman SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Alfred SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Viola SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Mary SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Martha SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Ruth SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Calso SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
Rachel SIMMONS of Hardinsburg
two brothers:
Henry MEADOR of Mattoon, Illinois (Coles County)
Marcus MEADOR of Indiana
     At the age of twenty-eight years, Mrs. SIMMONS became a Christian and 
united with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Ephesus, and lived a 
consecrated Christian life.  She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother, 
and friend.  The funeral was conducted at the home by the Reverend J. B. 
Galloway, Pastor of the M.E. (Methodist Episcopal) Church South of 
Hardinsburg.  Interment in the Meador family burying ground.
