SYLVIA SIMS Mrs. Sylvia SIMS, age 89, of Harned, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died on Friday, May 15, 1981 after a short illness. Sylvia was born May 29, 1892 in Breckinridge County, daughter of the late Berry Thomas ROBINSON and Hannah PILE ROBINSON. She is survived by: three sisters: Mrs. Ann DAVIS of Garfield, Ky Mrs. Mattie GREENWELL of Hardinsburg, Ky Mrs. Bessie BUTLER of Custer, Ky one brother: Victor ROBINSON of Paducah, Ky also surviving are nieces and nephews Funeral services for Mrs. SIMS were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 17, 1981, from the Locust Hill United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Locust Hill Cemetery with Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements. _______________________________________________________________ Special to the Courier-Journal, Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky., June 1973 MINISTER DIES AT HARDINSBURG Hardinsburg, Ky--The Reverend Harry C. SIMS, age 81, a Methodist minister for 66 years, died at 5 a.m. yesterday at a hospital here. He was a resident of the Harned community. He formerly was District Superintendant of the Owensboro District of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He served for 20 years as Louisville Conference Evangelist. His wife, the former Sylvia ROBINSON, and a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn WILHITE of Tucson, Arizona survive him. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Locust Hill United Methodist Church. The body is at Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg. (NOTE: Reverend SIMS is buried at Scott-Payne-Harned Cemetery) Additional Comments: #0217 Locust Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, located at the junction of Ky 1073 (Locust Hill-Harned Road) and Ky 1401 (Woodrow Road) in central Breckinridge County; directly behind the church.
