OBITUARY

     Harley L. SMALLWOOD, age 65, of Custer in Breckinridge County, died on Monday,
October 20, 
1980 at the Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, following a short
illness.  A son of 
the late Bridge and Vonnie PRESTON SMALLWOOD, he was born November 17, 1914 in
Breckinridge 
County, Ky.
Survivors include:
his wife, Mrs. Mary SMALLWOOD
four sisters:
Mrs. Mary BALLANCE of Glenco, Ky (Gallatin County)
Mrs. Martine PETERSON of Erlanger, Ky (Kenton County)
Mrs. Pearline BAILEY of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mrs. Pauline COMPTON of Elizabethtown, Ky (Hardin County)
two brothers:
Herbert SMALLWOOD of Elizabethtown, Ky
Walter SMALLWOOD of Custer, Ky
     The funeral was held from the Custer Church of God on Wednesday, October 22,
1980, with 
the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Burial was in the Preston
Cemetery.
