     James "Jim" Dale SMILEY, age 59, of Leitchfield, Ky in Grayson County, died on
Tuesday, 
September 25, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky in Hardin County. 
He was 
born in Leitchfield, Ky on November 8, 1958, the son of the late Maurice and Lenora
MERCER 
SMILEY.  He was a machinist at MTD, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the
guitar.  He 
was a member of the NRA.
     Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy HORTON;
Paternal 
grandparents, Delphis & Evelyn SMILEY; Maternal grandparents, Houston "Hous" &
Lennie MERCER.
Surviving him are:
five siblings, all of Breckinridge County, Ky
several neces and nephews
     Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the Calvert
Community 
Church, with burial at the Calvert Church Cemetery.
NOTE: no funeral home listed in obituary.
