HARLEN R. SMILEY  1925 - 2004
     Harlen R. SMILEY, age 78 of SeRee, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died on 
Thursday, September 26, 2004 at Breckinridge Health Care.  He was born in 
Breckinridge County on December 30, 1925, a son of the late William Craven and 
Cova BASHAM SMILEY.  He was a retired auto mechanic and attended Mt. Zion 
Church.  He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald SMILEY.
Mr. SMILEY is survived by his son:
Eugene HOWARD of Louisville, Ky
one daughter:
Linda SMILEY of SeRee, Ky
6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren
two brothers:
Henry SMILEY
Ray SMILEY
one sister:
Frances WHEELER
     Funeral services were held on Sunday, August 29, 2004 at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home in Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in SeRee.
