OBITUARY

     Mrs. Clara MAY SMITH, age 85, formerly of the Garfield community of 
Breckinridge County, died at Baptist East Hospital, Lousville, Monday.  The 
widow of Harold SMITH, she had been a patient in a nursing home at LaGrange 
for several years prior to her death.  She is survived by:
two sisters:
Mrs. J. E. FELIX of Seminole, Florida (Pinellas County)
Mrs. J. T. RANSDELL of Louisville, Ky
and several nieces and nephews
     Funeral services were held on Wednesday from the Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hensley Cemetery near Garfield.
