OBITUARY

MATTIE E. SMITH
IRVINGTON -- Mattie E. SMITH, age 92, of Irvington, Ky in Breckinridge County, 
died on Wednesday, February 26, 1997, at the Medco Center (Nursing Home) in 
Fordsville, Ky (Ohio County).  She was born in Breckinridge County, was a 
housewife, and was a member of Custer Eastern Star.
She is survived by:
her husband, Vic SMITH
two sons
4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild
     Services are at 1 p.m. today at the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, 
Hardinsburg.  Burial will be in Hensley Cemetery in Garfield.
