Trent-Dowell Funeral Home notice
Willis Smith, age 81 of Hardinsburg, KY died Friday, 

4-6-2007 at his residence. He was born in Breck.Co., 

KY on 1-16-1926, the son of the late Paul and Annie 

Dowell Smith. He was a WWII Army veteran, a farmer 

and member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
 
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ruby Smith of 

Hardinsburg, KY
2 daughters - Rita Embry of Tell City, IN
Connie Morton of Henderson, KY
3 grandchildren: Jason,Matthew & Katie Embry
2 great grandchildren: Kori & Kyleigh Embry
a sister - Dorothy Early of Stephensport, KY
a brother - William Cager Smith of Custer, KY
 
Funeral services will be held on Monday,4-9-2007 at 

11 AM at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Br. Bob Walton 

officiating. Burial with military honors will be in 

the Hillcrest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be held 

on Sunday from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 8:30 AM Monday 

at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home. Memorial contributions 

are requested to: Hillcrest Baptist Church or 

Gideons.
