Obituary

Mrs. Amanda MEADOW SMITH died October 2, 1960 at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Lalia ASHBROOK of Louisville, (Jefferson County), Ky.  Amanda was born 
March 5, 1865 near Custer (Brecinridge County), Ky., the oldest daughter of 12 
children of Joel and Sally MEADOW.
Surviving her are:
three daughters:
Mrs. Lalia ASHBROOK, Louisville, Ky.
Mrs. Evans CARMAN, Vine Grove (Hardin County), Ky.
Mrs. J. H. ROSE, Louisville, Ky.
3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
one sister:
Mrs. Harry MERCER, Leitchfield (Grayson County), Ky.

Funeral services were held October 4, 1960 at the Hary Funeral Home in Shively 
(Jefferson County), Ky.
Burial was in Louisville Memorial Gardens.
