H. C. SMITH -- WIDOW OF THE LATE JOHN C. SMITH -- DIES OF HEART DISEASE AT HOME IN HARDINSBURG -- Mrs. Hettie C. SMITH, age 67, died at her home in this place Tuesday night, July 19, 1904. She had been sick about 10 days with heart disease, and her death was not unexpected. The funeral took place the following day from St. Romuald Catholic Church, the Reverend Father William L. GABE, officiating. She was laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church beside her husband. Mrs. SMITH leaves four children: T. L. SMITH James SMITH Mrs. D. S. McGILL Miss Emma SMITH, along with other near relatives. Mrs. Smith lived a devoted Christian life and was noted for her faithfulness and piety. She will be much missed in this community.
