DEATH NOTICE -- Taken from the Fordsville Independent Newspaper --
Page 5, Column 3
CARL SOFFER DEAD --
     Mr. Carl SOFFER died last Tuesday, October 4, 1904, of typhoid fever.  Mr. 
SOFFER was teaching school at the CLARK School House when he took down, and died 
at home after taking down.  His home is at Oaks, while his parents live at Kirk, 
Ky (Breckinridge County).  He was buried yesterday in the Fordsville Cemetery 
(Ohio County).

I wonder if the surname is SAFFER, not SOFFER?
