Page 2, OBITUARY
     J. T. SPEAKS, age 84, died at the home of his son, Joe SPEAKS of near 
Mooleyville, Ky on Sunday night January 13, 1929 at 9:00 p.m., after a very brief 
illness.  A farmer for 63 years in the community of which he had been a life-long 
resident.  An invalid, and for several years before his death was totally blind.  
Mr. SPEAKS is survived by:
three daughters:
Mrs. Nora TOBIN of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mrs. E.J. RUSSEL of Waverly, Ky (Union County)
Miss Ida SPEAKS of Vine Grove, Ky (Hardin County)
four sons:
James SPEAKS of Waverly, Ky
Lee SPEAKS of Evansville, Indiana (Vanderburgh County)
George SPEAKS of Mooleyville, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Joe SPEAKS, Mooleyville, Ky
a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren
one brother:
Frank SPEAKS, living near Mooleyville, Ky
one sister:
Mary, who is a "Sister" of Charity.  Her home is at Nazareth, but at this time, 
she is confined to the Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Ky, where 
she has been ill for several weeks.
     The funeral services were held at the St. Theresa Catholic Church where he 
was a member, and burial in the St. Theresa Cemetery.
