She was 24 years and 27 days old, but it seems her work had just begun. Her many friends and relatives, who visited her daily, say they have never seen such perfect child-like trust from any one. Truly it was great to stand by her side and see her and watch her happy face, as she looked away from earth. She only saw in the tomb a thoroughfare that closed on the twilight here and opened on the Eternal dawn, whose brightness she could almost make us see, it was so bright to her. Her suffering was long and, at times, severe, but her patience and endurance marvelous. After a hard paroxish would pass she would look up to us and smiling would say, "This is not hard; Jesus knows and helps me, and he will take me when he is ready." She seldom let any one go away without speaking a word for Jesus and begging them to seek Him, and her works will surely follow her. She leaves a father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Stearman; one brother, James I. Stearman, and a host of relatives and friends that will miss Lottie, but we should not mourn when a tired spirit returns to the God that gaive it. No one had lived as spotless a life as Lottie. She joined the Methodist church at Custer when she was only nine years oled she never wandered from the sweet simple faith of her youth. Mrs. W. P. Romine. Triangle.
