OBITUARY
     John R. STEWART, age 49, of Route 1, Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County), 
formerly of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County), was killed instantly 
Saturday at 10:30 a.m. April 29, 1961, in a tractor accident on the farm of 
Sam HAWES' estate on U.S. Highway 60, 5 miles east of Owensboro, Ky.
     Mr. STEWART was the son of Mr & Mrs J. R. STEWART of Stephensport, Ky 
(Breckinridge County), and the son-in-law of Mr & Mrs Ed GOATLEY of near 
Cloverport.
     Mrs. Mildred GOATLEY STEWART, wife of the victim, was a patient at Our 
Lady of Mercy Hospital at the time of the accident.  Her condition was 
reported as critical.  Mr. STEWART is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Mildred STEWART
three daughters:
Glynes STEWART of Owensboro, Ky
Lajuan STEWART of Owensboro, Ky
Vanesie STEWART of Owensboro, Ky
four brothers:
Amond STEWART of Corydon, Indiana (Harrison County)
Elroy STEWART of Stephensport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Elvie STEWART of Louisville, Ky
Leo STEWART of San Diego, California (San Diego County)
three sisters:
Miss Lucille STEWART of Stephensport, Ky
Mrs. Vernie BEHNAN of Brandenburg, Ky (Meade County)
Mrs. Louise CARMAN of Middletown, Ky (Jefferson County)
his parents, Mr & Mrs J. R. STEWART of Stephensport, Ky
     Funeral services were held on Monday, May 1, 1961 from Grant Memorial 
Methodist Church, with the Dhonau Funeral Home of Cloverport in charge of 
arrangements.

I did not find a tombstone for his wife, Mildred GOATLEY STEWART in volume one 
cemetery book.
