OBITUARY

     Mrs. Mary E. STINNETT, age 93, of Route 1, Irvington, Ky in Breckinridge 
County, died at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 12, 1979, 
following a short illness.  She was born October 12, 1885 in Breckinridge 
County, the daughter of the late Elizah H. and Mary Frances PRIEST.  Her 
husband, Thomas M. STINNETT, preceded her in death.  She is survived by:
one daughter:
Mrs. A.H. (Mary) PAYNE of Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
two sons:
Herbert STINNETT of Route 1, Irvington, Ky
James "Jiggs" STINNETT of Hardinsburg, Ky
8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 14, 1979, from the 
Stinnettsville Community Church, under the direction of the Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hensley Cemetery.

     In the obituary for Mrs. Mary E. STINNETT, Route 1, Irvington, which 
appeared last week, her parents were listed as Elizah H. and Mary Frances 
PRIEST.  The names should have been Elijah H. and Mary Frances PRIEST MITCHAM.  
We regret the error.
