OBITUARY

     James W. "Jiggs" STINNETT, a 73-year-old Hardinsburg businessman, died on 
Monday, February 20, 1989 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.  He was 
born in Breckinridge County on November 16, 1915, a son of the late Thomas M. and 
Mary MITCHAM STINNETT.  He owned a used car lot in Hardinsburg, "Stinnett's Used 
Cars", for many years.  He was a veteran of the Armed Forces, and a member of the 
Stinnettsville Community Church.  His wife, Mrs. Mary Franklin STINNETT, preceded 
him in death in 1987.  He is survived by:
three sons
one sister:
Mrs. A. H. (Mary) PAYNE of Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
one brother:
Herbert STINNETT of Route 1, Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County)
5 grandchildren
     Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday), February 22, 1989 from the 
Stinnettsville Community Church, and burial will be in the Hensley Cemetery near 
Garfield.
