Irvington--James T. "Shorty" STINNETT, age 59, of Route 1, Irvington, Ky in 
Breckinridge County, died on Monday, July 29, 1991 at Northlake Regional 
Medical Center, Atlanta.  He was born in Breckinridge County, was an Air Force 
veteran, and a member of the Stinnettsville Community Church.  He was former 
owner of the Tri-County Pontiac-Olds Dealership.  He was Chief of Police of 
Cloverport in the early 1960's, and of Hardinsburg during the mid 1960's.  He 
also was Breckinridge County Sheriff 1970 -- 1974; Breckinridge County Judge 
1974 -- 1978; and Breckinridge County Judge-Executive 1982 -- 1986.  He was 
president of the Lincoln Trail Health District from 1974 -- 1978.
Survivors include his parents, Herbert and Aliene STINNETT of Medco Center 
(Nursing Home), Hardinsburg.
