He was born in Breckinridge County on 4-24- 1924, the son of the late Hubert Stinnett,Sr and Betty Lee Claycomb. He was the owner/operator of an electronics repair shop, a WWII Marine veteran, a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing golf and gardening. He was preceded in death by his first wife - Evelyn in 1996 a son - John in 1998 a sister - Evelyn Sandefur Hubert is survived by his wife - Alma Stinnett of Hardinsburg,KY daughter & son-in-law - Joan and Billy Smiley of Hardinsburg,KY 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Joe and Rita Stinnett of Hardinsburg,KY Jim and Deb Stinnett of Shepherdsville,KY 2 stepsons and daughters-in-law:Barry and Beverly Wood of Owensboro,KY Gordon and Sandra Wood of Hardinsburg,KY 2 sisters - Nell Decker of Hardinsburg,KY Carrie Placek of Columbus,IN 10 grandchildren 6 step grandchildren 12 great grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 4-28-2007 at 11AM at Hardinsburg Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Miller and Rev. Harry Dooley officiating. Burial will be in the Ivy Hill Cemetery with military honors performed by the Hardinsburg VFW Post 5831. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3-8PM and after 8:30AM Saturday. Memorial contributions are requested to Hardinsburg Baptist Church Building Fund.
