Alma Wood Stinnett, age 78 of Hardinsburg,KY died Tuesday, June 19,2007 at her 
residence. She was born in Breckinridge County on October 8,1928, the daughter 
of the late Andrew Jackson Pumphrey and Violet Hildegarde Robertson. She 
retired as a supervisor from the Kentucky State Parks system and was a  
Kentucky Colonel, a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church and a member 
of Eastern Star. She enjoyed traveling and her dogs.
 
Alma was preceded in death by her husbands: James H. "Woody" Wood in 1998 and 
Hubert Stinnett,Jr. in 2007.
 
She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law: Barry & Beverly Wood - 
Owensboro,KY
Gordon and Sandra Wood - Hardinsburg,KY
3 step children: Joan Smiley and Joe Stinnett - Hardinsburg,KY
Jim Stinnett - Louisville,KY
1 brother - Ralph Pumphrey of Hardinsburg,KY
6 grandchildren: Joann Wood,Bradley Wood,Alan Wood,Jamie Beavin,Shane Beavin, 
Dane Beavin
10 step grandchildren
12 step great grandchildren
 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22,2007 at 11AM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Jessee officiating. Burial will be in the Cloverport 
Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 
8:30AM Friday.Memorial contributions are requested to: Hardinsburg United 
Methodist Church.
