STONE DEAD -- Hawesville, Ky (Hancock County) October 5, 1904 (Special) The funeral of Mrs. C. D. L. STONE, who died at the home of her son, Honorable James E. STONE, in Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County), was held here today, October 5, 1904. Dr. James WEAVER, of Louisville, preached the sermon, and she was buried from the Baptist Church here, of which she had been an active member for 69 years. Mrs. STONE was born in Hardin County, Ky in 1810, but lived here most of her life, where her husband, James E. STONE, Sr., held office of Circuit and County Clerk for over a half a century. Besides her son, she leaves two daughters: Mrs. Ann BUSH of Cannelton, Indiana (Perry County) Mrs. B. T. MOREDOCK of Evansville, Indiana (Vanderburgh County) James E. STONE, Jr. formerly lived in this city and at Hardinsburg, and is well-known all over the county.
