OBITUARY
     Mrs. Letitia Ann TATE, 86 years of age, of Hardinsburg, Ky., died Wednesday, 
October 18, 1978, at Medco Center (Nursing Home), Hardinsburg.  She was born July 
18, 1892 in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late Albert DOWELL and Mary 
Ann NORTON DOWELL.
Mrs. TATE was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman TATE.
     She is survived by:
one daughter, Mrs. Luther (Ruby) GLASSCOCK of Harned, Ky
two sons:
R. M. TATE of Hardinsburg, Ky
Miller TATE of Custer, Ky
two sisters:
Mrs. David ROBINSON of Kingswood, Ky
Mrs. Hubert TATE of Cloverport, Ky
two brothers:
Rufus DOWELL of Tower Hill, Illinois
Frank DOWELL of Garfield, Ky
14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild
     Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 1978 at the 
Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery with 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.
                        









Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Cemetery; Directions: turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Kentucky Highway 60.  The church lies 
east of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge.
