     Mrs. Emma Jane TAUL died at her home in the TAUL Community, near Beach Fork 
on Friday night (January 18, 1929), after an illness of several days of influenza 
and pneumonia.  She had been in failing health for some time, and was 85 years 
old.
     Soon after the death of her daughter, Mrs. Benjamin BATES, of some three 
weeks past, Mrs. TAUL became ill, and had never recovered.  When another 
daughter, Mrs. George PERKINS was stricken of pneumonia, in the home of her 
mother.  She was slowly recovering at the time of Mrs. TAUL'S critical illness.
     Mrs. TAUL is the widow of the late Joe TAUL, and before her marriage was 
Miss Emma Jane BRICKEY.  She had lived in the community where she died, the 
greater part of her life.  She was survived by:
four sons:
John M. TAUL
Gabe TAUL
Sidney TAUL, all of this community
Eli TAUL of Alton, Illinois (Madison County)
three daughters:
Mrs. George PERKINS of near Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Miss Clara TAUL, who remained in the home and cared for her mother
Mrs. Ernest ALDRIDGE of Cloverport, Ky
     Mrs. TAUL was a member of the Cloverport Christian Church.
     The funeral was held at the home on Saturday morning (January 19, 1929) by 
the Reverend Peyton Canary, and burial followed in the TAUL burying ground.  
Several from this city (Cloverport) attended the funeral.  Eli TAUL, of Alton, 
Illinois, arrived Friday morning and reached his mother's bedside just a few 
hours before she passed away.
