S. THOMAS, who spent 40 years as a machinist in the Louisville & Nashville Railroad's South Louisville yards, died Friday January 8, 1960 at age 86. Death came to Mr. THOMAS, who retired 10 years ago, at the Keeling Nursing Home, 236 E. Kentucky. His home was at 213 W. St. Catherine. He was born in Breckinridge County, a member of the Irvington Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Bewleyville Masonic Lodge since 1901. Surviving: His wife: Laura A. THOMAS one son: Earl F. THOMAS one daughter: Mrs. Conrad KAISER 2 grandchildren A daughter Eathel Bert preceded him in death at the age of 18. The funeral was Sunday at the grave in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Irvington. Additional Comments: His wife, is Laura A SIPES THOMAS. See her obituary in the Herald News dated June 24, 1960.
