The death of Mrs. Cora Thornhill, 22 years old, at the City Hospital, Sunday Dec. 1,
of influenza, discloses an unusually pathetic situation.  The father, Police
Sergeant Ernest H. Thornhill, 30 years old, died of influenza, Saturday, and two of
the children are ill of the disease.  The condition is such as to indicate recovery.
 The funeral of Sergeant Thornhill was arranged for his morning at Neurath's chapel,
and a double funeral was held and the bodies of Sergeant and Mrs. Thornhill were
taken to Harned, Ky., for burial.

Sergeants Thornhill's mother, who lives at Westview, is in serious condition from
influenza.  The Thornhill home is at 117 South Seventh street. -- Louisville Post
