June 2, 1894 News has reached us of a frightful accident which occurred in the Antioch neighborhood. Mr. Milton Tucker was firing log heaps. His wife and idolized daughter came to where he was at work but the mother soon returned to the house, the little girl remarking that "she would stay and help Papa". In trying to fire a heap, her clothing was ignited and before her father could reach her, she was wrapped in flames from head to foot. She was burned to insensibility, and died in a short time, while Mr. Tucker almost raving from the frightful burns received while trying to extinguished the flames. The doctors think one arm and perhaps both will have to be amputated.
