VANDGRIFT, 74 of Tell City, Indiana in Perry County, died on Monday, October 9, 2000 at her home. She retired from Tell City Chair Company, and had previously farmed in Derby until 1969. Preceding her in death were: her husband, Charles Burton VANDGRIFT a son: Earl VANDGRIFT a brother: William JOHNSON her parents: Charles and Rosabell JOHNSON a half-brother: Wesley BAKER 6 infant grandchildren Surviving Mrs. VANDGRIFT are: seven daughters three sons one brother: Charles JOHNSON, Jr. of Livermore, Ky (McLean County) a half-sister: Beulah BLAKE of Belton, Ky (Muhlenberg County) 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until service time at Huber Funeral Home-Tell City Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2000 at the funeral home, and burial will be in the Hensley Cemetery, Garfield.
