Trent-Dowell Funeral Home Obituary Listings
Kevin Ray Vertrees, age 48 of Big Spring,KY died Saturday, 3-22-2008 at 
University Hospital. He was born in Louisville,KY on 11-29-1959.Kevin attended 
Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he loved listening to gospel music, 
painting and playing the drums. Every Friday, Kevin had a strict routine: 
breakfast buffet at Dexter's Restaurant, shopping at WalMart for art supplies, 
Towne and Country for artist paint brushes, IGA for Big Red and finally before 
going home a stop at Dairy Queen for a fudge bar. He was truly loved and adored 
by his family and friends.
 
Kevin is survived by his parents: Roy and Anna Carman Vertrees of Big Spring,KY
2 sisters: Trina Allen of Garfield,KY and Shelia Webb of Big Spring,KY
1 brother: Eric Vertrees of Big Spring,KY
5 nieces and nephews: Scott Allen, Camilla Cox, Chris Webb,Matthew and Kevin 
Michael Vertrees
2 great nephews:  Dylan Cox and Noah Allen

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 3-27-2008 at 11AM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home with Rev. Frank McCallum officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel 
Cemetery near Bewleyville,KY. Visitation on Wednesday at Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home from 3:30 - 8:00PM and after 8:30AM Thursday. Memorial contributions are 
requested to: Breckinridge County Association for the Handicapped.
