MRS. WATHEN'S BEREAVEMENT
     Flaget WATHEN, the bright and attractive 10 year old daughter of Mrs. 
Chapeze WATHEN, died at the family residence in Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County) on 
Wednesday afternoon, March 23, 1904 of cerebrel meningitis.  The body was taken 
to Irvington for burial on the Thursday morning train.
     Mrs. WATHEN has the sympathy of a host of friends in this city and county, 
in her sad bereavement, three deaths having occurred in her family in less than a 
year.  Her husband died last May (1903), and several weeks ago her mother, Mrs. 
Jane FARLEIGH, died.

IRVINGTON, KY (BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY) NEWS ITEM:
     Judge FARLEIGH, his wife and son, Durelle of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson 
County), and Misses Mary and Bessie LEWIS of Brandenburg, Ky (Meade County), were 
here Friday, March 25, 1904 to attend the funeral of little Flaget WATHEN, at 
Mount Merino Church.

WEBSTER, KY (BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY) NEWS ITEM:
     Mrs. S. P. PARKS attended the funeral of Mrs. Chapeze WATHEN'S little 
daughter at Mount Merino last Thursday.

Mount Merino Cemetery -- Guardian Angel Church in Irvington, Ky is located in 
north eastern Breckinridge County, .8 of a mile from the city limits of 
Irvington.  Just west of the Breckinridge - Meade County line.
