John William Wheeler, age 83 of Westview,KY died Wednesday,1-31-2007 at 
Breckinridge Health,INC. He was born in Breckinridge County,KY on July 4,1923, 
the son of the late Owen and Devia LeMaster Wheeler. He was a member of 
Westview United Methodist Church and retired from Civil Service. He walked the 
length of Italy during WWII and is an Army veteran.
 
He is survived by his wife of 61 years - Frances Smiley Wheeler of Westview,KY
3 sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald and Ruth Anne Wheeler of Hardinsburg,KY
John and Brenda Wheeler of Cox's Creek,Ky
Terry and Lola Wheeler of LaGrange,KY
1 sister - Jane Bell of Elizabethtown,KY
4 grandchildren: Rhonda Glenn,John Wheeler Jr,Robin Anne Brown,Missy Lynn Morris
7 great grandchildren: Shane Glenn,Austin Wheeler,David & Daniel Brown,Abby & 
Eli Morris,Connor Bevil
 
Funeral services will be held on Saturday,2-3-2007 at 1PM at Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home in Hardinsburg,KY with Rev. Rick Bourland officiating. Burial will 
be in the Kingswood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:30 - 
8:00PM and after 8:30AM Saturday. Memorial contributions are requested to: 
Westview United Methodist Church Building Fund.
