LIVED ALONE IN OLD LOG CABIN --
Smith's Grove, Ky (Warren County)  October 18, 1904 (Special)
     Miss Elmira WHITELY, age 87, died at her home near Hydro, this county, of 
pneumonia.  She lived alone in a log cabin built by her father in 1803, where she 
spun yarn, and wove cloth upon a loom made in Virginia 25 years ago.  She was 
never out of the state, was never in town, and never saw a steam engine.
