OBITUARY

DAVID WHITWORTH  1940-2008
     David WHITWORTH, age 68, of McDaniels, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died 
Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Breckinridge Health, Inc.
     He was born in Springfield, Illinois (in Sangamon County) on October 10, 
1940.  David was a farmer, a member of the Hudson Community Church, and McDaniels 
Volunteer Fire Department.  He was a former member of the Breckinridge County 
Board of Education, and Breckinridge Health, Inc.
     He was a fan of sports, especially UK, an avid reader, and he loved working 
jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles.
He was preceded in death by:
his father, Leslie WHITWORTH
two brothers:
Larry WHITWORTH
Francis Milton WHITWORTH4

He is survived by:
his wife of 49 years, Mrs. Betty WHITWORTH
one daughter
his mother, Mary SHELLMAN of McDaniels, Ky
two sisters
five brothers
     The funeral services were held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.
     Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery with McDaniels Volunteers of the Fire 
Department, leading the procession.  Members of McDaniels Volunteer Fire 
Department and Breckinridge County Dispatch Department conducted "Last Call" 
honors in memory of David.
