Trent-Dowell Funeral Home Obituary Listings
Kathleen Williams, age 83 died August 11, 2008 in Modesto, CA.  Kathleen was 
born in Breckenridge County, KY.  She was the daughter of the late Taylor 
Goodman and Temple Keesee Goodman.  She graduated from Western Kentucky 
University and with her Masters in Library Science from the University of 
Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. At age 20 she taught school in Kentucky (Custer) and 
retired as a High School Librarian from Lockport East High School In Illinois.  
She married Edmond Williams in 1954.  He preceded her in death in 1983. She 
moved from Joliet, IL. to California in 1995 to be closer to her family. She 
loved gardening, traveling, e-mailing friends on her computer.  She volunteered 
teaching students at Modesto grade schools, the Literacy Center and assisted in 
teaching computer skills at Modesto Junior College. She was generous to 
numerous charities.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond, 2 sisters Beulah and Jewel, 2 
brothers-Bill and Walter “Clarence” Goodman.

Kathleen is survived by 2 children Mary Denato(William) of Riverbank CA., 
Stephen Williams(Heidi) of Amherst, MA., 2 grandchildren Maeve Williams of 
Amherst, MA. and Jeffrey Denato of Modesto, CA., 1 brother-Larry Goodman of 
Ohio, Stepmother-Ella Goodman of Hardinsburg, KY., Loving nieces and nephews- 
Kendall (Debbie) Goodman of Constantine, KY., Damon (Regina) Goodman of 
Cecilia, KY., Cheryl Goodman of Custer, KY.

Funeral services will be held Friday 8/22/08 At 11:00 a.m. CDT at Trent Dowell 
Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, KY. Burial will follow at Constantine Cemetery. 
Visitation will be Thursday from 3:30p.m. to 8:00 pm. CDT and after 8:30 am 
Friday.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to  Constantine Methodist Church, 
Salvation Army, 625 I St., Modesto CA. 95354 , Community Hospice 4368 Spyres 
Way, Modesto, CA. 95356 or charity of choice.
