January 18, 1903

Garfield Baptist Church met 2 O C PM and after devotional excesise the minutes 
of the prceding meting wer red and aproved.  The peice and fellowship of the 
church was called for all persant at peice.  It moved and second that the 
Church elect 3 deacons Brother Jessie Macy Albert Bullock and George Snider wer 
elected.  The - - - the election of 3 Trustees for the church Brother James W. 
Taber A.A. Richardson John Moredock wer elected trustees.  A.A. Richardson was 
elected Trustee of the Church.  The Church covenent be recorded in the church 
book.  Broth John - James Taber Jessie Macy wer apoint to prepar rules of -.

In oure church Book the church then went in to the organization of Sunday 
scholl and election of officers D R M Smith was elected Superintendent Brother 
A A Richardson assistant Sister Lotty Compton Sec and Treasurer brother M P 
Compton Sist Laura Compton A A Richardson and Sister Lola Richardson were 
appointed a comitty to procure letrature for the School Brother Rusle Compton 
then taken a collection of $2.65 to pay for letrature.
