The cabin was (as stories go) possibly the one that the Lincoln family stayed in for
a few weeks in 1816,  It stood in a field on a nearby street near the historical
marker up until a few years ago when it was disassembled.  It is now in a private
collection.  According to descriptions in one of the affidavits, the location of the
cabin does sound like it would have been in the correct area.
