D. & J. Born September 7, 1849. Died July 20, 1853. Inscription: Unreadable. Coordinates: N 37.66455 W 086.32402 Note: This stone has obviously been moved from where it ought to be. There are two odd looking structures in the cemetery. They look something like sarcophagi, but they do not have any names or other inscriptions on them. Elizabeth Pile’s stone has been pulled from the ground and is resting on top of one of these sarcophagi. Her stone is also broken almost directly in the center, right through her name. I was able to discern the word “Pile,” although I would have had very little confidence in my observation if I had not seen from an earlier transcription that Elizabeth Pile was buried in that cemetery.
