Demetrius Elmore Deacon is a son of Francis Marion Deacon and Alice Jolly 
Basham.  Francis Marion Deacon was probably not born in Breckinridge County, 
Kentucky.  Instead, he was likely born in Spencer County, Kentucky.  "Elmore" 
married Frances Elizabeth Singleton, daughter of Rev. Benjamin Franklin 
Singleton and Martha Ann Allen, in Meade County, Kentucky, on 27 Nov 1892.  The 
informant, Mrs. Kirby Rogers, is his daughter Willa M. Deacon Rogers. Other 
children were son Roscoe Emmons Deacon and daughters Ira Della Deacon and 
Minnie Estelle Deacon.
