Alma Shirley Keys was born to Andrew Jackson Keys, Jr. and Annie Mack Basham on 
17 September 1896, in Breckinridge County, Kentucky.  Alma had six children 
with Roscoe Emmons Deacon (son of Demetrius Elmore Deacon and Frances Elizabeth 
Singleton), whom she married in Breckinridge County, Kentucky, on 7 October 
1917.  The informant identified on the death certificate, "Mrs. Marvin Payne," 
was Alma's sister Lucille Agnes Keys, wife of James Marvin Payne.
