Joel Jarred's parents are listed as "unknown" on his death certificate.  His 
parents prove to be Mayson Jared and Mary Polly Dowell Jared who are buried at 
the Jared Cemetery in Clifton Mills, and where the family stayed close to for 
many years.  Joel was married three times: 1)Sarah Robertson in 1861, 2) Mary 
F. Dowell in 1869, and 3) Susannah Basham in 1884.
