to Henry Dowell Basham (born in Virginia, likely Bedford County) and Cassandra 
Hardin (born in Breckinridge County, Kentucky).  Martha was the second wife of 
lawyer George Washington Stone.  George and his first wife had 3 children. 
Martha and George had two children of their own -- Stuart Basham Stone and Ruby 
D. Stone -- and resided in Leitchfield.  The informant, W.T. Stone, may be 
George's son by his first wife, Warren T. Stone.
