He was in Bullitt County in 1825 when he married Abidiah Tooley. She was his second wife. The next record we have of Henson is a court case involving Thomas Bell, (husband of his grand-daughter Sarah) Thomas Heathman (husband of his daughter Nancy) and Henson against Martin Gentry in 1830. The children born to his first marriage and mentioned in his will were: 1-Mary, wife of John Speed, Jr 2-Nancy, wife of Thomas Heathman 3-Juliet, wife of Daniel Wilson 4-James 5-Joseph. THOMAS HEATHMAN ############### Thomas Heathman died on February 15, 1839. He was the husband of Nancy Stephens. Nancy was the daughter of Henson Stephens. They were married July 19, 1804 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. In 1818 they bought land from Henry Slaughter in Bullitt County. Three daughters are recorded in the family bible: 1-Juliet, wife of Jordan Beeler 2-Mariah, wife of Samuel Underwood 3-Sarah, our ancestor. Sarah was first married to Thomas Bell. After his death she became the wife of Burr Harrison Landers. The marriage of Mariah and Samuel Underwood on 21 February 1828 is recorded in Bullitt County Marriage Records. They were the parents of four daughters: 1-Virginia 2-Cordelia 3-Julia 4-Lydia. Mariah died on 17 April 1840. The marriage of Juliet and Jordan Beeler is recorded in the family bible. They were married on 13 April 1835. She died on January 31, 1837. I’ve seen no record of any children for this marriage. The marriage of Sarah and Thomas Bell on September 24, 1826 was found in both the family bible and early Jefferson County Marriages, Book II, pg 3. They were the parents of seven children: 1-James Francis, 1827-1897 2-Thomas Jefferson, 1829-1885 3-Napoleon Bonaparte, 1831-1852 4-Anna Marie, 1833-1834 5-Martha, 1835-1913 6-Mary, 1835-1913 7-Elvira Sarah, 1837-1885. Thomas Bell passed away in 1838. In 1842 Sarah married Burr Harrison Landers. He was a widower with children. They had four children: 1-William Jasper, 1843-1866 2-Newton Isaac, 1845-1900 3-Julia Elizabeth, 1848-1929 4-A baby daughter was born in 1850 but she passed away two days after her birth. Sarah passed away in 1873 and is buried in Pennsylvania Run Cemetery in Jefferson County, Kentucky next to her second husband, Burr Harrison Landers. Burr Harrison Landers was the son of Nathaniel Landers and Lucinda Carpenter. NATHANIEL LANDERS ################# Nathanial Landers was born ca 1786 in Virginia. He died on April 23, 1847. His will is on file at the Bullitt County courthouse. He is thought to be buried on the old family farm on Cedar Creek road. He married Lucinda Carpenter on March 2, 1806 in Bullitt county. She was the daughter of Michael Carpenter and Rebecca Delph. Her parents were from the Germanna Colony in Virginia. Lucy died before 1839 and the following children were named in the 1846 sale of her estate: 1-Dr.James H.Landers, husband of Editha Head(1) and America Crist(2) 2-Burr Harrison Landers, husband of Sarah Heathman Bell 3-Margaret Jenkins, wife of David Jenkins, (her first husband was George Young) 4-Rebecca, married to Denton Smith 5-Elizabeth, married to John Hoagland In 1839 he married Lydia Shain, widow of Abel. He mentions only seven children in his will in 1845: 1-Mary 2-John 3-Susan 4-Mariah 5-Nancy 6-Sarah 7-Samuel None of these children were in the division of land for the heirs of Lucy Landers.
