JOHN G. FROMAN was born in Bullitt County, Ky., May 14, 1842. His father, Jeremiah Froman, was also born in Bullitt County, March 8, 1818, the Froman family being among the first who settled in Kentucky. The subject's mother was Amanda Graham, and was married to Jeremiah Froman in 1840, and they have born to them fourteen children, John G. being the second born. He was reared on the farm, receiving a common-school education. His father being both a farmer and blacksmith, he learned the trade of blacksmithing. October 7, 1861, he volunteered in Company B. Thirty-fourth Mounted Kentucky Infantry (U.S.A). July 4, 1864, he was married to Miss Sarah Snellen, a daughter of Zachariah and Charlotte Snellen. Froman Graham Snellen Bullitt-KY
