We are all well and in pretty good spirits. But mightly fatigued. I have nothing much to write but when I get a chance I will rite all the interesting news aflote You need not answer this for I sont know how long we will stay. I will tell you when I want you to answer me So nomore at present But I still Remain As Ever Yours. F. K. Edlen Francis Kenneth Edlen was from Grayson Springs, KY. Following the war and his release from prison camp he drown while crossing the Green River. The river was high from rains and he did not want to wait for the water to go down. He wanted to get home to see his family. He had a baby daughter Mary Susan born in June 1864. It is likely he never saw her.
