Ma has got such a bad one she can hardly stay up but I hope she will feel better soon. but I hope you all are well and not got any colds. Are you through killing hogs? I hope you are for it is such a job. Well I reckon I had better close for this time as Pa wants to write a few lines. kiss them all for me and give them my love. excuse bad writing for it is getting dark and I can't see the lines good. so goodby with love to all. As ever your loving Sister Minnie Dear Frank and Fannie. Once more this side of the Pearly Gates, the Good Lord has permitted me to address you a few lines to let you know I am still convalescing.Never was a nail (portion of letter missing) hit it when he made up his mind. In refference to my ailment and the treatment of the same, I believe I have been improving from the first dose of medicine I took. I could sleep tolerable well, if I was not troubled much with my bowels and kidneys. Well Fannie, Willie and Katie have gone together again, but we have never seen him since, and don't know how it came about, nor what agreement they entered into, but I know this much, that he will have to abstain from all intoxicants and they will have to get further from the Ridgway famly if it continues long. If these two things are not done it will all have to be done over again. Fannie Ma says you and Frank must come up again soon. As you had such a bad time before, she says she felt so bad when you left she did not even tell you to come back. I am so thankfull for the cream you sent me, it lasted me nearly a week sweet and nice. I must close as it is about stage time. Write soon. Yours affectionately L.M.
