Court Order Book 'H'   page 47     19 Nov 1849

The Court appoints Henry S. CRIST & Mary E. CRIST his wife a Committee to 
take charge of & fund a support for the following paupers till Nov's Court 
claims 1850 - Mr. HORINE, old Mrs Richard NEESY, Mr. CARDWELL, Eva QUICK, 
ELiza MELONOCH, Elisha BOLTON, Jack FOX, Patsy MOORE, Kitty ETHERTON, Milly 
SPENCER, Lois MOORE, Jus WATSON, Ann COOK & Amelia DOOLIN and allow for their 
support and maintenance till Nov Ct claims 1850 the sum of $250.00 and the 
Court directs the Committee to Secure bond in the penalty of $500 Conditions 
for their Support and said bond was Executed in Court & appears with Nathan 
CRENSHAW Security - and said Committee are to send for the paupers and to 
have them taken home to the house of Comt'ee for support and if they then 
refuse to go they will not be bound to send any more for them - And Mr. W. 
SWA____IGAN & A.J. BLAIR are appointed Commt's to Examine from time to time 
the Conditions of said Poor and report to Court - and it is agreed by this 
Court and Committees that if any other persons are put on the County as paupers
 they are to be sent to the said Committees and a Suitable allowance will 
be made by the Court to the Committees for their support and allowance
