Power of Attorney, 1797

This posted on Hanover Co, VA Hall query


I have in my posession a copy of an old Power of Attorney that reads as follows 

" To all whome these presents shall come greeting, Know ye that we, William Hall and Thomas 
Overstreet of Bullitt County and State of Kentucky do by these presents appoint Clifton Hall 
of Bullitt County of the State of Kentucky our attorney in fact for the Special porpus of 
receiving of our Legacy of Austin Yeamans and Jesey Hogard Executor of the estate of Charles
Yeamans deces't of Hanover County and State of Virginia and we do whereby oblige ourselves 
our heirs to ratify and confirm the above power of attorney as wittness our hands and seals 
this twelfth day of August One thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Seven. William Hall (seal) 
Tho. Overstreet (seal)"
