23 Aug 1821 Bullitt County Circuit Court Order Book 
THOMAS JOYCE, complt. vs. CHARLES JONES deft.
This day came the parties by their Council and in motion it is ordered that the 
restraining order made in this case be so amended as to restrain the said defendant 
from taking & conducting away with his pipes the salt water out of the pipes which now 
Convey the Salt Water from the well in Bullitts lick called the Beach Well, now in the 
occupancy of the complt. to the cistern & furnace, now ocupied by the complainant.

JACOB CURTS vs. NATHAN HARRIS
This day came the plaintiff by his attorney and the defendant not appearing altho 
being solemnly called it commanded the sheriff that he cause to come here immediately 
twelve good and lawfull men of the bystanders by whom  (fades out here) ... came a 
jury Towit:  Benjamin WITHERS, Marsham BRASHEARS,  (more too pale to read) David 
SHAIN, Nathan MILES (foreman), Joseph L. _____, John D? PETERSON, Cornelius BIRD, 
James HOLMES who  ruled for the plaintiff ....  (can’t read it clearly it says 
something about one hundred and forty dollars that had been due 27 June 1821.
