We your Peitioners being situate in wide continuous uncultivated contry and beset on every side to incursions of the savage Indians humbly conceive ourselves opressed by several ask the General Assembly of Virginia for granting large grants for waist and unappropriated lands ____ ____ native without reservation for cultivated and setling the whereby setling the contry. discouraged and the inhabitants are greatly ____ to the savages by whom our wives and children by cruely murdered ?? Not withstanding our own most humble Petitions are constitued ___________ We are taxed - Which in our present situation ____ and unjust ____ ____ with money and grain whilest unsold land is in garrison with any situate from six hundred to on thousand miles from our present state of government Where criminals are suffered to escape impunity ? great ? members who want occasionally also deprived of an opportunity of their just rights and improvements and h---- are obliged Prosecute all appeals and whilst we remain uncertain whether these in bounded claim --- --- contry ought of right to belong to the United States or State of Virginia ____ ____ other late act required of us to swear allegience to the State of Virginia in a pirticular not withstanding we have already taken the Oath of Allegiance to the United States.
