The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net Transcribed by: Anne livings1@aol.com Date: 26 Jan 2001 ********************************************************************** 24 Feb 1825 Bullitt County Circuit Court Orders Ordered that JOHN REARDON be fined in the sum of ten pounds for a contempt of the Court on Committing a breach of the peace in the presence and that he enter into a recognizance himself on the sum of One hundred Dollars and on Security in the like sum of One Hundred Dollars or two securities in the Sum of fifty dollars each. Whereupon JOHN ----- (too faint to read) with WILLIAM SHANKLIN and WILLIAM WELCH as his securities acknowledged themselves indebted to the Commonwealth of Kentucky the said John REARDEN in the sum of One hundred dollars and the said WILLIAM SHANKLIN and WILLIAM WELCH in the sum of fifty Dollars each to be levied of their respective goods and chattels, Lands and ------ and to the use of the Commonwealth ordered if default be made. The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the said JOHN REARDON shall keep the peace and be of good Character to ---- all the good citizens of this Commonwealth for one year then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force and virtue of the Law. Ordered that JOHN MELTON be fined in the sum of five dollars for a contempt of the court for committing a breach of the peace in its presence.
