SUMMERS, 27 June 1797 This indenture made (27 June 1797) between Nancy BRASHEAR, Samuel CROW, Michael TROUTMAN, Frederick PANNEBAKER, Benjamin STANSBERRY, Joseph BROOKS, and John ESSERY, trustees for the town of Shepherdsville, of the one part and Benjamin SUMMERS of the said town of the other part... The trustees by virtue of the power vested in them by the Act of the General Assembly, passed the 11th day of December 1793 establishing a town on the lands of Adam SHEPHERD in the County of Jefferson and in consideration of 44 pounds 7 shillings paid to the sd Adam SHEPHERD agreeable to the direction of thesd Act have granted unto Benjamin SUMMERS ten lots in sd town known in the plan thereof by numbers: 13 . 14 . 24 . 41 . 42 . 43 . 44 . 45 . 46 . & 51 subject to the conditions expressed in the afsd act ..
